Russian Government is to consider the possibility to cancel export duties on round log for companies that are involved in realization of large projects including foreign investments.

The aim of the visit was to discuss preparation works for realization of the project on forest machinery assembly – harvesters.

Harvesting volume decreased by 14.4% in 2008 as compared to 2007.

Export duties on unprocessed roundlogs and birch with diameter over 15 cm will make up 25% not less than 15 EUR per 1 m3 from January 1, 2009.
