Solombala pulp-and-paper mill is to invest about 10 mln Euro in construction of a new Woodstock preparation shop with capacity making up 1 mln ton per year. Currently the company is taking negotiations with designing companies. Engineering companies are to prepare a feasibility study, get a positive expert conclusion on project documentation and prepare all the necessary documents for construction. There are already a number of companies that offered their services, including CTS Engtec Oy (Finland), LLC Andritz (Russia) and CJSC Giprobum-Poyry (Russia-Finland). Besides, the company is to consider the participation of CJSC Arkhgiprobum that has large experience in plant engineering and construction in the field of pulp-and-paper industry. At the same time construction project on pulpwood-to-chip production line is also included in the Solombala pulp-and-paper mill’s investment programme for 2006-2010. The projects aims to provide pulp-and-paper production with own chip. The line is to include a rotor barking machine, advanced chipping machine, bark processing machine and conveyor system.
