Pitkyaranta Cellulose Mill is to invest over 70 mln EUR in production modernization. The mill intends to increase annual suphate pulp production up to 114 thousand ton, as well as to realize the project on transfer to sulphate coniferous viscose pulp production to the amount of 75-85 thousand ton per year. 

Modernization works are to be performed in two stages: project capacity of 114 thousand ton is to be reached within the first stage, with oil fuel consumption to reduce and own electricity production to increase. The secong stage includes transfer to to sulphate coniferous viscose pulp production with the usage of bleaching.  

Total investment volume amounts to 73 mln EUR, 123 mln EUR and 60 mln EUR for each stage respectively. Period of recoupment is to make up max 7 years. Over 80% of production volume is to go for export.
