Despite the global economic crisis, JSC Arkhangelsk PPM is to finish works on modernization of the second bark boiler worth 160 million RUR (over 3.7 million EUR).

Works on fuel-handling system modernization has been completed with Alstom gas-purifier being replaced. The works are performed within the programme on technical upgrading.

Guarantee tests are to be performed in August 2009 to determine the basic technical parameters and verify whether they satisfy project data.  At the same time there were completed works on revision of aeration system in aeration tanks No 6 and 4.

The mill also plans to reconstruct pump station at primary sedimentation tanks of the second stage.
