ANDRITZ to supply the world’s largest wood pelleting plant to Russia Print
Monday, 22 February 2010

International technology Group ANDRITZ is to supply all process equipment for a complete pellet plant to the Russian pulp and paper mill Vyborgskaja Cellulosa in Vyborg.

The order amouts to approximately 40 MEUR, start-up of the plant is scheduled in the second half of 2010. With a production capacity of approximately 900,000 t/a (corresponding to about 125 t/h), this pellet plant will be the largest worldwide. ANDRITZ FEED & BIOFUEL will supply debarking lines, a chip handling system, belt dryers, as well as hammer and pellet mills.

With this investment, Vyborgskaja Cellulosa is entering the growing wood pelleting market, thus further diversifying its business activities.

This and the order recently received from RWE Innogy to supply a complete pellet plant (the largest pellet plant in North America, with a production capacity of approximately 750,000 t/a) confirm ANDRITZ FEED & BIOFUEL’s status as global market leader for wood pelleting plants.
