JSC Svetogorsk (part of International Paper) is to launch a mill for bleached chemithermomechanical pulp (BCTMP) production with the annual capacity of 200 thousand ton. Hydrogen peroxide is to be used for bleaching instead of chlorine.

The mill construction is a part of investment program of JSC Svetogorsk reconstruction that is realized by International Paper with investment volume making up more than 300 mln USD.

JSC Svetogorsk includes two pulp mills, two papermaking machines. Current production capacity amounts to 400 thousand tons per year, of them 75% - paper, 25% - cardboard.
