October 16, 2008 Smurfit Kappa Group launched bag-in-box packaging production in Vsevolzhsk (Leningrad region) – total investment volume making up 3.5 mln EUR. Production facilities are constructed on the site of CJSC Smurfit Kappa St. Petersburg – a leader in corrugated packaging production in Norh-West Russia since 1997.

Annual capacity of new plant will reach 30 mln bag-in-box packagings for food industry. The plant is equipped with highly advanced equipment, has clean production premises, incl. climate control and air-conditioning systems. According to Smurfit Kappa Group experts, growth rate of bag-in-box packaging market makes up 15% per year with this tendency to continue in future.

Smurfit Kappa Group intends to increase investment volume and construction of facilities connected with this perspective trend.
