CJSC National Forest Agency presented its investment project on construction of pellet mill in the Novgorod region with capacity making up 500 th. ton. The company intends to construct an industrial complex of 4 modules with 4 stages to be gradually put into operation. According to the analyses made, the plant is to be constructed in the south, south-east part of the region.

Thus, the company chose 3 areas for project realization in the Starorussky, Borovichsky and Malovishersky districts. The first stage is to be constructed in Mednikovo (Starorussky district) – capacity reaching 90-125 th. ton per year. The plant will be launched in March-April 2011.

Pellet market is rapidly growing – demand for this product growing in the Europe by 30% annually. Such growth can be explained mainly by the Kyoto Protocol entered into force and according to which the EU countries are to reduce greenhouse gases emissions.
